Is this still present?ĭoes anyone know any further issues wit the programs I am using?: As described above, Edge has a problem in YouTube with YouTube randomly stopping the playback. Given that I got about 6 to 7 hours out of the Surface Pro 7 which was rated about 10.5 hours, I would expect about 10 hours from the Pro X with the same usage.

Microsoft says that it can last about 15 hours. While Linus from Linus Tch Tips said that the system felt snappy, some other guy complained that ''time-scrolling'' in YouTube was laggy.Īlso, as Microsoft throws in 16 gigs of memory, my question is if he device can even handle enough Windows ''CPU''-wise to fill that up?Īnyways, the entire reason I would be switching to the device would be, next to the thinner and lighter design compared to the pro 8, the battery life. I know that the SQ2 isn't that big of an upgrade, but how about Windows 11? Again, I would expect a decent performance for Office stuff but some statements I heart do not support each other. They reviewed the SQ1 with Windows 10, which, according to some sources isn't the most ideal combination as the SQ1 isn't exactly powerful and the Windows 10 on ARM port is said to neither be breathtaking. My printer (Canon Pixma MG 3250) asked for a driver installation? What does that mean for that? I also heard that programs that require a driver installation aren't supported and this question might seem dumb but. Do I have to be on a look-out for something? will the device get warm when you have a program running that has a background process? I do plan to run some stuff on it that doesn't have a native ARM version on it like Discord.

Now I heard that the emulation of 64 bit Programs is fairly good but how will it impact battery life and performance. As these are native ARM Apps, I would expect a decent performance with that. That would be running OneNote for Windows 10 all day alongside Microsoft Office and Edge in the background. which would not be my use-case for the device. These reviewers were trying to run video and image editing software on it. Now I have two problems with that and wanted to find some answers around here :) Okay, so everyone was complaining on how the Surface Pro X would be weak because of that SQ1 processor.
